Hi guys! I’m so excited about a new project I’m dreaming up! I am finally tackling the much-needed home office situation, yay!
I have gathered all of my inspiration photos to get the process started and I just had to share all of the amazing details with you.
My hope is to show you some of the incredible ways people are creating beautiful, separate workspaces right in their own backyards.
1. Shipping Container turned Office
I just love a creative reuse project, and this one is a total showstopper! Can you believe this bright blue garden office started as an old shipping container? It’s just so unique and stunning.
They added glass walls and a front deck to completely transform it. The warm wood panels they used for the interior walls make it feel so inviting.
And how smart is it to plant the roof to help keep the inside cool? The vibrant mix of the blue and orange hues is just gorgeous and totally sets the mood for a productive day!
2. Enclosed Gazebo
Okay, this office looks like it’s straight out of a postcard! I am so drawn to the warm terracotta clay roof tiles paired with those minty blue walls and the surrounding glass windows.
The white rattan table and chair just add a healthy dose of charm that I adore. The whole aesthetic of this hexagon shed is so beautiful, it would definitely lure me in to sit down and get to work!
3. Rustic Minimalist
There is something so striking about simple designs. This office brings out such a clean and classy look by going with beige and adding a favorite painting to adorn the wall.
To me, the exposed beam ceiling and glass doors give the impression of an office that is modest yet feels incredibly spacious. It’s just lovely.
4. White She-Shed
This is such a beautiful way to express a feminine and delicate style with this red and white themed office.
I love the large French door opening and that chic chair and table that just matches the personality of the space! A wooden cabinet is perfect for organizing work documents and stuff.
And after a long day, what could be better than sitting outside on that refreshing mint colored table setup with a cup of tea? Just perfect.

Instead of just a room, why not expand and create an office patio? I love this idea. It gives you a place where you can retreat after a stressful meeting or just enjoy your garden with a cup of coffee after a successful deal.

6. Skylights!
Wow, this office just upgrades everything with light shining through the transparent roof. The natural wood walls and exposed beam ceiling are already beautiful, but the skylights take it to a whole new level.
I also love how they managed the clutter with floor to ceiling open wall shelves. It’s so efficient, functional, and smart.
7. Office in a Greenhouse
You wouldn’t need to travel a hundred miles to experience a great escape with this office. This exquisite glass work combined with light-colored furniture takes the experience to the next level.
It allows you to enjoy nature while on the job! I love that it’s well-lit by natural sunlight during the day and has that vintage lamppost to guard it during the night. So charming!
8. Garden Cottage
Don’t have a ton of backyard space? That’s not a problem! You can refurbish a typical shed into this lovely yet perky garden cottage.
Replacing old wood panels with awning windows freshens up the interiors, promotes better air circulation, and gives that sense of a wider space. Such a great idea!
9. Modern Scandinavian
Scandinavian design is so well known for highlighting natural aesthetics, and this is a perfect example. It’s simple and clean, with unfurnished wood from the floor to the ceiling.

This shingled work pod is all business, and I love it. Instead of intricate designs, this backyard office has efficient and streamlined interiors.
Using asphalt shingles from the wall to the roof is such a bold choice. Pairing it up with a perfect white interior, balanced by that black bentwood chair, is just genius.

I am completely drawn to how contrasting designs create the perfect match here! You can stay vintage with a rustic wood tiled roof and still opt for a refreshing modern vibe with those white and blue interiors.

This is a great way to experiment with colours and shapes! This design is definitely out of the ordinary. I love the recessed front wall and the windows with varying sizes of squares and rectangles.

Keeping that charming, ramshackle ambience authentic with mismatched wall colours, random frames, and a collection of different rugs is just so cool and personal.
